Tinig ng Plaridel (TNP) is the official student publication of the University of the Philippines College of Media and Communication.
The publication was established in 1978 when then-President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’s Martial Law was at its deadliest and most desperate. Struggling against such repressive machinery, student journalists of the Institute of Mass Communication (now College of Media and Communication) asserted freedom of expression by writing and publishing their own sentiments in print.
Since then, TNP has stood militantly to defend press freedom and bring stories of the marginalized to the fore, committing to its motto: Tibay ng panulat, tikas ng paninindigan.
