Korte Suprema, tinatakwil ang sariling wika – UP Diliman

Upang tutulan ang muling pagtanggal ng Filipino at Panitikan bilang bahagi ng kurikulum ng mga unibersidad at kolehiyo, nagsagawa ng isang kilos protesta ang mga mag-aaral, kawani, at propesor mula sa Departmento ng Filipino at Panitikan ng Pilipinas (DFPP) ng Martes sa Palma Hall.

Ito ay inorganisa ng departamento matapos ilahad ng Korte Suprema na ang Filipino at Panitikan ay maaari ng tanggalin mula sa mga “core subjects” ng mga kolehiyo at unibersidad sa dahilan na ito’y itinuturo na sa elementarya at sekondarya.

UP workers oppose new job order, calls on UP admin to act

Approximately 500 non-contractual workers in the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman campus are at risk of being transferred to private agencies first thing next year.

Joint Circular No. 1, which covers all government agencies including state universities, allows the contract renewal of existing Job Order (JO) and Contract of Service (COS) workers only until December 31, 2018.
