MANILA – The University of the Philippines Men’s Volleyball Team fell anew on Sunday to Adamson University, 20-25, 25-20, 17-25, 20-25, in their first round meeting in UAAP Season 77 Men’s Volleyball Tournament at San Juan Arena.
With a dominant performance from their starting six, the Falcons quelled a fiery Fighting Maroons in four sets.
Leading the charge for the Falcons was sophomore Bryan Saraza with game-high 19 points, 18 off spikes and one off an ace.
Beach Volleyball veteran Michael Sudaria chipped in 15 points, which includes four blocks. Spiker Jerome Sarmiento and middle blocker Dave Pletado contributed 13 and 12 points, respectively.
Coming off a thrilling five-set win over the DLSU Spikers, the Fighting Maroons were only able to take a single set against the Falcons.
Open Spiker Wendel Miguel led his team with 13 markers, 11 coming from spikes. Veteran spiker Frederick Abuda managed to score 12 points, five of which coming from blocks.
