Political History

In recent years, only one party has run for election in the College of Music: Camerata, an independent party that is aligned with Alyansa ng mga Mag-aaral para sa Panlipunang Katwiran at Kaunlaran (ALYANSA).

A single party running for office is common for a college with a small population such as the College of Music. Low voter turnout is very common in this college, as only 1/3 of the 300 students in the college vote. For a candidate to secure in the case that he/she is the lone candidate for that position, that candidate must be able to garner a majority vote, or 50+1 percent of the total voter turnout.
