Botong Isko: CATALIS unrivalled in 2016 SLIS SC

by Ma. Luisa Pineda

Catalyzing Actions Toward Advancement of Library and Information Science (CATALIS) runs unopposed for all posts in this year’s School of Library and Information Science Student Council (SC) elections.

Now on its second year of participating in the elections, CATALIS fielded SLIS junior Bryan Jerahmeel Yao for chairperson with Rhianne Patricia Garcia as his running mate.

Meanwhile, Rovir Jefferson Agner is running independently as college representative to the USC.

No incumbent member of the student council will be running for this year’s elections.

In last year’s elections, a 30 percent voter turnout was recorded for SLIS. A total of 411 students are eligible to vote on April 21 for this year’s elections.

The official list of hopefuls for the SLIS Student Council is as follows:

CHAIRPERSON
Bryan Jerahmeel Yao
